Vision AI use cases

Vision AI is most useful when a visual input leads to a bounded decision that a person can verify. The examples below show the task, likely output, and the question that prevents over-automation.

Documents and OCR

A system can extract visible text or fields from invoices, forms, and scans. Verify names, totals, missing pages, handwriting, and low-quality images before records are changed.

Quality and inspection

Images can be compared with a defined reference to flag possible defects or differences. A flagged region is an investigation lead, not a safety certification or final quality judgement.

Products and inventory

Visual recognition can help organise product imagery or identify visible items. It cannot reliably infer stock, authenticity, condition, or specifications that are not shown.

Accessibility and assistance

Descriptions and text extraction may support access to visual information. Test with the people who rely on the workflow; do not treat generated descriptions as a substitute for accessible source content.

Marketing

Creative, product-image, and brand review are covered in Vision AI for marketing. Visual quality is not the same as demand or attribution.

A safe evaluation

Create a small representative test set, record errors, define a human reviewer, and confirm permissions and retention. The benefits and limitations of Vision AI provides a risk lens.

A practical takeaway

Use the Vision AI guide to define the category, then choose a use case by asking: what will be supplied, what will be returned, what happens next, and who checks it? For marketing-specific examples, see Vision AI marketing use cases.

One useful promise: A useful promise: leave with one use-case statement that includes an input, output, decision, and escalation rule.

Want a bounded visual marketing workflow? CoraVision is being developed to support human-reviewed next decisions. Beta late 2026.

Product boundaries

CoraVision is first-party product context, not independent research, a benchmark, a customer-result claim, or a promise of uplift. It is not a general Vision AI API. Capabilities, integrations, data handling, and beta access may change; confirm the current product scope before relying on it. Keep a human reviewer for consequential decisions and verify permissions, privacy, retention, and claims.
