Connect Google Analytics (GA4) to CoraVision
Google Analytics connects through the same Google sign-in as Google Ads: you click Connect on the Google Ads card, sign in, and allow Analytics. It takes a few minutes, you do not need a Google Ads account for it to work, and nothing in Google Analytics changes.
- Your website uses a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property. Cora reads GA4 properties only.
- You know the Google sign-in that can open that property. It must be added to the property or its account directly.
- On a Mac, Cora can only see Google's screens to help you if CoraVision is allowed to see your screen: see Allow CoraVision to see your screen on a Mac.
Start the Google connection
-
In the sidebar on the left of your dashboard, click Connectors.
2 Analytics connects from the Google Ads card. -
On the Google Ads card, click Connect. There is no separate Analytics card: this one connection covers Google Ads, Google Analytics, Merchant Center and Tag Manager.
Sign in and allow Analytics
-
Your web browser opens on Google and the CoraVision window steps aside. Choose the Google account that can open your Analytics property, and sign in if Google asks. Cora joins you and talks you through Google's screens.
NoteIf Google says it has not verified the app, that is expected while Google reviews CoraVision. See Google says the app is unverified.
-
Google lists what CoraVision is asking to see. Make sure the Google Analytics box is ticked (tick the others too if you use them), then click Continue.
Read onlyFor Analytics, CoraVision asks for Google's read-only permission. Cora can see your reports. Cora cannot change your property, your settings or your data.
-
Your browser shows Google connected and counts down. CoraVision comes back to the front on its own. If it does not, click the button on that page to go back.
Check Analytics is in
-
If CoraVision shows Choose your business, click the business you are setting up. Each row shows the website and the Google products CoraVision found for it.
-
In the Importing window, look at the Google Analytics row. A tick and your Analytics account's name mean Cora will read it. Click Done.
7 A tick beside Google Analytics means Cora reads it.
What happens next
Cora reads your property straight away, covering the last year, then again every night. Analytics has no card of its own on your dashboard: Cora uses it in your calls, your strategy and your chats, to see which channels bring visitors and sales. To check it later, click Manage on the Google Ads card.
Common questions
The Google Analytics row shows a cross. Why?
Either the Analytics box was not ticked on Google's screen, or your sign-in has no access to a GA4 property for this business. Fix the access, then on the Google Ads card click Manage, Disconnect Google, and connect again with every box ticked.
I don't use Google Ads. Can I still connect Analytics?
Yes. Click Connect on the Google Ads card anyway. The Google Ads row will show none for this business, and Analytics is read as normal.
I have several Analytics properties. Which one does Cora read?
One per business. CoraVision matches the property to your business by its website address and name. If the wrong property is read, send us a message from the contact page.
