CoraVision glossary: every term, in plain English
Every word Cora and the app use, in alphabetical order, with what it means in CoraVision and the guide that explains it. Marketing terms such as AOV and ROAS are here too, defined the way Cora uses them.
Action plan
The steps for one strategy, in order, that Cora teaches you to do yourself. Each project holds one, and you mark steps done as you go. See Projects and action plans.
Allowance
Short for your weekly allowance.
AOV (average order value)
What a customer spends in one order, on average: your sales revenue divided by the number of orders. Cora asks for your average sale in your onboarding call and uses it to turn a goal counted in orders into money.
Auto top-up
An optional setting that buys credit with your saved card when your credit balance falls below the minimum you set, so Cora keeps working. For plan members. See Auto top-up.
Brand style guide
The colours, fonts and words that fit your business, built by Dune from your answers and your website. You get it at the end of your onboarding call, and you can download it as a PDF. See What the brand style guide is.
Chat
A conversation with Cora, or one of the other specialists, in the pill while you get on with your work. You start one from New, and every chat is kept under Chats. See Start a chat.
Connector
A link between CoraVision and a platform you use, such as Google Ads or Meta, that lets Cora read your numbers every night. You manage them on the Connectors page. See Which platforms CoraVision connects to.
Cora
Your AI Chief Marketing Officer. Cora runs your calls, writes your strategy and coaches you through the work on your own screen. Cora reads your accounts and never changes them. See Who is who.
CoraVersity
The lessons in CoraVision, with an expert for each platform, such as Mailchimp. Describe what you want to learn and Mabel finds the right lessons. See CoraVersity.
CPA (cost per acquisition)
What one sale or lead costs you in ads: the spend divided by the sales or leads. The Google Ads and Meta cards on your dashboard show it for the last seven days. See The numbers in CoraVision don't match the platform.
Credit
Money you add to your account so Cora keeps working after your weekly allowance runs out. It is used only after the allowance, and shows as Current balance in Billing. See Buy credit.
Design Studio
Where you make designs, such as a newsletter or a homepage, by talking to Dune. Dune builds them with you, in your brand. It opens at the end of session two. See The Design Studio and Dune.
Dune
CoraVision's Creative Director. Dune presents your brand style guide in your onboarding call and makes designs with you in the Design Studio.
GA4 (Google Analytics 4)
Google's website analytics. Connecting it lets Cora read your website visits, where they come from and what they buy. It connects with the same sign-in as Google Ads. See Connect Google Analytics (GA4) to CoraVision.
Gage
Cora's colleague for Google Ads. In your onboarding call Gage asks for your website and shows the platforms found on it, and you can switch to Gage in the pill.
Goal
The result you want over the next twelve months, in your own words, such as doubling sales or reaching a monthly revenue figure. Cora asks for it in your onboarding call and builds your strategy back from it. See Goals, strategies and tactics. The marketing glossary has what a marketing goal is, and why only one.
Lead
An enquiry from a possible customer, such as a form, a call or a sign-up. For a business that wins work through enquiries, the dashboard counts leads instead of sales. See What is a lead worth? in the marketing glossary.
LTV (lifetime value)
What a customer is worth to you over the whole time they buy from you, not only their first sale. Cora works it out in your onboarding call, to judge what winning a new customer is worth. See What is customer lifetime value? in the marketing glossary.
Mabel
Your guide in CoraVersity. Tell Mabel what you are looking for and Mabel finds the lessons that cover it.
Marketing Plan
The part of the sidebar that holds your strategy document (My Strategy), your brand style guide and the Design Studio.
Merchant Center
Google's home for the products you sell through Google Shopping. Connected, it lets Cora read your product list and how each product performs. See Connect Google Merchant Center.
Meta
The company behind Facebook and Instagram. Connecting your Meta ad account lets Cora read your Facebook and Instagram ad results; it is open to beta testers only for now. See Connect Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads to CoraVision.
Onboarding call
Your first call, also called session one. Cora, Gage and Dune get to know your business, and you finish with your brand style guide and session two booked. See Your onboarding call.
Performance score
A score out of 100 for how well your marketing is working, worked out mainly from your nightly numbers, such as whether you reached a ROAS target. While your trust score is under 60, it is provisional. See Performance score.
Pill
Cora in a small bar that floats over whatever you are working on, watching your screen and talking you through the next step. See What the pill is.
Pill mode
When CoraVision folds down into the pill so you can work in other apps. Click Close pill mode to return to your dashboard. See Close pill mode.
Plan
Your CoraVision subscription: Plus, Pro or Max (×3 or ×6). Plans differ in the size of your weekly allowance and the number of connectors. See Plans and what each includes.
Project
A piece of work under Projects, usually one of your strategies, with its action plan and your progress through the ninety days. You can also start projects of your own.
ROAS (return on ad spend)
The revenue your ads bring in divided by what they cost. A ROAS of 3 means $3 back for every $1 spent. A ROAS target can be one of the items in your performance score. See What is ROAS? in the marketing glossary.
Session one
Another name for your onboarding call.
Session two
Your strategy session: the second call, where Cora presents your strategy and you agree it together. You book it at the end of session one, for the next day at the earliest, because the analysis takes up to 24 hours. See Your strategy session.
Strategy
One of the three things Cora recommends you pursue for the next three months, chosen from your goal and the gaps Cora finds in your numbers. Each becomes a project with its own action plan. See What is a marketing strategy? in the marketing glossary.
Strategy document
Your written marketing strategy: Cora's analysis of your data, and the goals, strategies and tactics you agree in session two. It is under Marketing Plan. See Your strategy document.
Strategy session
Another name for session two.
Tactic
One of the day-to-day actions inside a strategy, the things you actually do. Cora teaches them, step by step, in your action plans. See What is a marketing tactic? in the marketing glossary.
Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager, which holds the tracking tags on your website. Connected, it lets Cora see which containers your account holds. See Connect Google Tag Manager.
This week
Your current allowance week, which starts at 12:00 am Brisbane time on your reset day. Your usage percentage counts this week only.
Transcript
The written record of a call or chat, every line in order, saved to your account. Calls keep a transcript only, never audio. See Call transcripts.
Trust score
A score out of 100 for how far you can trust your data, from tracking that is set up to platforms that are connected. It rises as you complete the tasks tied to it, and you and Cora work it up to 100. See Trust score.
Usage percentage
How much of this week's allowance you have used, from 0 to 100 percent. It never counts credit you bought. See Your weekly allowance and the usage percentage.
Weekly allowance
How much use of Cora your plan includes each week. It starts again every week at 12:00 am Brisbane time on your reset day, and what you do not use does not carry over.
Welcome tour
Cora's short spoken tour the first time your account opens the dashboard. It plays once, and you can pause or skip it. See The welcome tour.
