Known issues in this release
These are the problems in CoraVision 0.4.4 that we know about, each with what to do in the meantime. Updates arrive by themselves, so check your version at the bottom of the sidebar; if what you are seeing is not on this list, tell us from the contact page.
Your screen and the pill
Cora sees your main display only
With more than one display, Cora looks at your main display and draws Cora's highlights on the display where the pill is. Keep the pill and your work on your main display. See Using CoraVision with more than one display.
On a Mac, the pill cannot float over a full screen app
An app in full screen covers the pill. Leave full screen with the green button, or hold Option and click the green button to fill the screen without full screen. See The pill is hidden behind another window.
macOS asks again whether CoraVision can see your screen
From macOS 15, macOS repeats this question from time to time and after a macOS update. CoraVision cannot switch it off. Click Allow to carry on.
Calls
The question box buttons wait until Cora has finished asking
Go back a question, Repeat the question and Give me an example respond once Cora has finished the question, and a click on screen does not always stop Cora mid-sentence. Wait for Cora to finish, then press. A fix is on its way in a later update.
A goal given per location or per month can be taken as the whole goal
If you tell Cora your goal as a figure for each location, or each month, Cora may record that smaller figure as your goal. When Cora plays your goal back for you to confirm, check the number, and if it is wrong, say the total out loud.
The brand book can take longer than the call expects
If Putting your brand book together runs to the end of its bar, click Keep waiting for another minute or Skip to carry on. See "Cora is getting ready": the loader and what to do.
The call says it is recorded
The top of the call window says the call is recorded and transcribed. Only the transcript is kept; the audio of a call is not saved. See What is saved to your account, and what is not.
Your strategy document takes up to a minute to open
After session two, the document shows Cora is preparing your strategy document while it is made from your call. Leave it open; it opens by itself.
Your account and the app
The speaker and microphone checks cannot be run again
The checks run when you sign in on a computer. To change your devices later, use Settings, Audio & Camera, or Speaker & Microphone in the pill's menu.
No button yet to deactivate your account or report a problem
Both go through the contact page for now. See Deactivate your account and Send a problem report with your app version.
Meta is open to beta testers only
While Meta reviews CoraVision, only invited beta testers can connect a Meta account.
Windows warns about an unknown publisher when you install
The Windows installer is not yet signed, so Windows shows Windows protected your PC. Click More info, then Run anyway, only for the file from our download page. See Download and install CoraVision on Windows.
The app's name can show with a space in some lists
In a few places, such as your Mac's privacy settings, CoraVision may be listed with a space between Cora and Vision. It is the same app.
What happens next
Each fix arrives in an update, which CoraVision downloads by itself: see Update CoraVision to the latest version. What changed in each version is in What's new, and this page is updated with every release.
Common questions
My problem is not on this list
Tell us from the contact page, with your version, Mac or Windows, and the time it happened. See Send a problem report with your app version.
When will these be fixed?
Fixes arrive in updates as they are ready. CoraVision updates itself, so you do not need to do anything but click Click to update when it appears.
